Boston Marathon Vigil and Victim Funds
Organizers have announced that there will be a vigil of support for the Stoneham Marathon Day victims on the Stoneham Town Common TONIGHT (Wednesday, April 17th) at 7:00 PM (located in front of Stoneham Town Hall at 35 Central Street, Stoneham). Participants are asked to bring a flashlight or candle – there will be a little talking, but mostly silence and reflection.
Several victims of the Boston Marathon bombing are from Stoneham and are still in critical condition. Local banking institutions have set up accounts for those who wish to donate money to help the families pay for skyrocketing medical expenses. If you would like to donate money, you may make a donation to the funds listed below:
Stoneham Candidate Forums Program Schedule
Stoneham Candidates' Forums were held on Thursday, March 14th at 7:00 PM for the School Committee Candidates and Monday, March 18th at 7:00 PM for the Town Moderator and Board of Selectmen Candidates. Both forums were held at Stoneham TV. For your convenience, we would like to provide you with the complete listing below of all showings of the Candidates’ Forums and Candidates’ Statements, which will be shown on our Government Channel (Comcast 22, RCN 15, Verizon 36) beginning Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Community Organization - Information & Orientation Night: Tuesday, March 26th, 6:00 - 8:00 PM
We hope you are keeping warm this winter season! We would like to invite you and any other members of your community organization to Stoneham TV’s first “Community Organization - Information & Orientation Night” on Tuesday, March 26th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at our studio located at 53 Central Street in Stoneham. This night will be set up as an informative workshop where you will find out what is necessary to produce public service announcements, educational shows, or even a monthly show using the equipment and resources available at Stoneham TV. Dinner will be served for this workshop event. |
Stoneham TV's Fourth Annual 'Donations from the Heart' Food Drive
Please help Stoneham TV collect items for the Stoneham/Board of Health Food Pantry by “giving from your heart” and you will receive a message from the heart in return for your generosity.
Here is how it works: 1. Donate a food item or toiletry item at Stoneham TV, 53 Central Street, Stoneham by Wednesday, February 13, 2013. *Additional collection boxes are at The Stoneham Senior Center, 136 Elm Street, Stoneham, The Boys and Girls Club of Stoneham, 15 Dale Court, Stoneham and Super Stop and Shop, 295 Main Street, Stoneham. 2. Fill out a “Valentine’s Day Message Form” which includes your Valentine’s Day message to your special someone (forms are located at collection site). 3. In return, your special Valentine’s Day message will be shown on Stoneham TV’s public access channel all day on Valentine’s Day, Thursday, February 14, 2013. Special Valentine’s messages collected during the “Donations from the Heart” Food Drive can be seen on Valentine’s Day on Stoneham TV’s public access channel: Comcast Channel 9, RCN Channel 3, and Verizon Channel 34. |
Stoneham TV Holiday Open House and Year in Review
It has been a great year at Stoneham TV! We are happy that so many of you came to visit us this year to work on a project, volunteer your time, and just to say hello. Please join us for a Holiday Open House on Wednesday, December 19th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at our studio, 53 Central Street, Stoneham for fun evening. We hope you can join us for some great appetizers, tasty cookies to decorate and lots of friendly faces. Plus, join us for our First Holiday Raffle with some of the early auction items that did not receive bids at our Stoneham TV Auction!
